Definition of Bought And Sold Notes
Documents which are usually delivered bv brokers to their principals on the conclusion of a contract of sale and purchase, the bought note being delivered to the buyer, and the sold note to the seller. The notes should contain the names of both the contracting parties, the quantity of the article bought and sold, and the price if agreed upon. They constitute the original contract between the parties
