Provisions relating to excessive self-defence in the German Criminal Code [1]: This criminal issue is covered by Chapter Two the Offenceunder the Fourth Title, Self-defence, Necessity and Duress,” located in Section 33 Excessive self-defence, which reads: A person who exceeds the limits of self-defence out of confusion, fear or terror shall not be held criminally liable.
