Definition of Judicial Committee Of The Privy Council

Created by the Judicial Committee Act, 1833. It consists of the President and ex-Presidents of the Privy Council, the Lord Chancellor, Lords of Appeal in Ordinary, Judges of the Supreme Court, and not more than seven Judges of the superior Courts of the self-governing colonies or British possessions, and not more than two Judges of any High Court in India.
The Judicial Committee has jurisdiction in (1) Appeals from Courts in the colonies or dependencies of the United Kingdom. (2) Appeals from the Admiralty and Ecclesiastical Courts of this country
