Definition of Langridge V. Levy
((1837), 2 M. & W. 519). A seller is liable for a fraudulent misrepresentation made to a buyer whereby a third person is injured, if the seller knew the article was to be used by the third person. A purchased a gun from L, informing him it was for the use of himself and his son. L misrepresented the make of the gun, and the son was injured by the gun bursting while he was using it. Held, L was liable for his fraudulent misrepresentation
