Definition of Seal

A solemn mode of expressing consent to a written instrument by attaching to it wax impressed with a device ; but any act done with the intention of sealing is sufficient. By the Law of Property Act, 1927, s. 73, where a deed is executed it must be signed or marked, and sealing alone is not sufficient
