Sheriff Of Middlesex’s Case in Europe

((1840), 11 Ad. & E.). The sheriff in pursuance of a writ from the Queen’s Bench levied execution upon Hansard (see Stockdale v. Hansard). The House of Commons thereupon committed him for contempt.
