Stock Exchange in Europe
Definition of Stock Exchange
An association of stock brokers and jobbers. It has many rules which, unless they are recognised by the law, are binding upon its members only to such extent as they can be enforced by disciplinary action on the part of the committee, and upon persons who are not members so far as they are reasonable.
Stock brokers are the intermediaries between their clients and the jobbers. See Leeman’s Act
