Description of The Seven

The Concise Encyclopedia of the European Union describes the seven in the following terms: [1] Austria, Denmark, Norway, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK – the seven original members of the European Free Trade Association (EFTA). The Seven was a term used to distinguish EFTA from the six founder members of the European Community.
