The plaintiff, Mrs. Huguenin, whilst a widow, constituted the defendant her agent, and he undertook the management of her property and affairs ; and she afterwards executed a voluntary settlement in favour of him and his family. Mrs. Huguenin having remarried, this suit was brought by her and her husband for the purpose of setting aside the settlement. Held, that the settlement should be set aside as obtained by undue influence and abused confidence in the defendant, as an agent undertaking the management of her affairs ; upon the principles of public policy and utility, applicable to the relation of guardian and ward<\/p>\n<\/h4>\n
