Traders in Europe
Definition of Traders
Only traders could be made bankrupt, until section 69 of the Bankruptcy Act, 1861, made all debtors subject to the provisions of that Act. Married women still can be adjudicated bankrupt only when carrying on trade or business, whether separately from their husbands or not. (Bankruptcy Act, 1914, s. 125, sub-s. 1)
