Definition of Cundy V. Le Cocq
((1884), L. R. 13 Q. B. D. 207). The Licensing Act, 1872, made it an offence for any licensed person to sell intoxicating liquor to a drunken person. Held, that knowledge of the condition of the person to whom the liquor was sold was not necessary to constitute the offence
