Next Friend in Europe
Definition of Next Friend
An infant or a person of unsound mind who has no committee who desire to bring an action must, as a rule, do so through the intervention of a person called a next friend, generally a relation (Order XVI, rr. 16, 17), Every next friend is responsible for the propriety of the proceedings taken in his name.
A married woman cannot be either a next friend or a guardian ad Utem
