Definition of Premises
That which has been stated before. (1) In a conveyance, when the property has been fully described, it is generally referred to in the subsequent parts of the deed, as ” the premises hereinbefore described.” From this, ” premises” has acquired the sense of land or buildings. (2) That part of a deed which precedes the habendum. See Liability
